Our Mission

Water Island Search & Rescue was organized in 2003 to provide emergency medical services and fire protection for the residents and visitors of Water Island. WISAR currently has 31 members and we welcome any new volunteers that wish to serve Water Island. Please call 340-642-5660 for help.

We have 5 Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s); located at the following places:
1) Ferry dock
2) Dinghy’s Beach Bar
3) Fire Station
4) Kubota Ambulance
5) With Rachael Ackley

We have a large pump truck, a Kubota fire truck, a Gator fire truck and a Kubota ambulance and a rescue/transfer boat.

We are continuously improving our skills and knowledge to better serve the residents of Water Island.
